Atari Collaboration NFT

Atari50 NFTs were a project that began in house. The plan was to start our own NFTs made for gifting called GFTs. But during production one of our partners saw the project and wanted in. So our launch was a set of 10 NFTs with Atari that sold out in an hour at a price of .3 ETH each.

As Creative Director I was responsible for creating the idea, look and concept for this series of NFTs. I hired and worked with an amazing illustrator and modeler, Chi Midalgski from Chichiland, and her team to create the original GFTs. We began with one idea of cute everyday objects but ended up switching gears when Atari came on board. In record time we created a new series of animations plus promotional and social assets. The hero image was a stylized version of the classic Atari console.

As part of what has become the ‘expected’ NFT drop we created a rarity table with some objects being more rare than others. Working with the product and engineering teams we made sure the drop and reveal went smoothly. The smart contracts and objects were in place well before the launch and the project was an aesthetic, technical and financial success.

The NFTs are currently available on Opensea. Below is a preview of 2 of the 10 game animations. The NFTs also come with other built in utility
