The Atari Pass is an NFT Access Pass for a video gaming “metaverse” experience. Owning this pass allows you to play exclusive games and access to your own room in Portals.

The brief here was to create an NFT that fit with an existing “retro” theme of an 80s rec room. But also be futuristic! ; )

As Creative Director I created a proposal with two possible directions for the Atari Pass. Each pass needed to have 3 versions, corresponding to classic video game levels and their colors, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Some of the various ideas are shown below. We decided to go with a short animation using a look inspired by Chris Soryama’s illustrations. At the last minute we needed to add both the Atari and Everyrealm logos inside the animation, so we decided to place those on the arcade token. Problem solved!

I worked with MaverickPixel and Michael A. Viscione for 2 months to create tests and mockups. We are very proud of the result, including the sound design.
